First established in 1976 by Mr. Ken Swan and Mr. Salem Saif Saqr Al Moherbie as Al Moherbie Clearance & Transport Est., we are a 100% locally owned company.
In 1983, with the acquisition of the UAE Operations of Mitchell Cotts Freight, we expanded into the Global Freight Forwarding market as Al Moherbie International Freight Est. A later agreement led us to become a network partner of Hitachi Transport Systems (HTS), a global entity headquartered in Tokyo, Japan with representative offices around the world.
After forming a close working partnership with Abnormal Load Engineering (ALE) of the UK, we diversified into the heavy lift project market and have subsequently been involved with many prestigious heavy lift infrastructure projects in the UAE & GCC.
As one of the few freight forwarders in the UAE who own and operate their own fleet of specialized vehicles, we are able to offer our clients a closely coordinated and fully integrated door to door freight forwarding and logistics services both locally and worldwide.
In the last 42 years, Al Moherbie are proud to have been involved with a great many major and milestone UAE infrastructure projects in the oil & gas, power generation, telecommunications, water desalination and agricultural sectors, to name a few.
Our modern head offices are centrally located in Abu Dhabi city and are fully equipped to handle all the challenges of a fast-paced business environment.
Our 67,000 ft2 Mussafah facility is home base for our transport, maintenance, warehousing & distribution operations. In addition to this, we have 100,000 ft2 storage facility which enables us to offer our clients a variety of open or closed storage services, all with 24-hour security.
Our transport services operation can provide solutions for all types of cargo, in particular, heavy lift, large and oversized pieces. We are also able to cover specialized equipment for transportation of delicate high value cargo such as electronics, computers, hospital MRI scanners and aero engines.
Together with our network partners, we are currently operating over 250 lines of SPMT & conventional modular axles. We also have heavy duty prime movers, multi-axel hydraulic semi-lowbed trailers, to 135 MT load capacity, flatbed trailers, air suspension trailers & pick-ups.
Our industrial installation department offers a team of highly skilled personnel, hydraulic jacking & skidding systems and lift & lock gantry systems for delivery of transformers, turbine chillers and other cargo, onto foundations.

Together with our joint venture partners we can offer the full range of specialist transport and engineering supervision for all types of cargo through to final delivery onto site, including, if required, installing onto foundations utilizing jacking and skidding methods or cranage.
