Coloritalia Kimya Ltd. Ti. was established in 1997 by members of BASF's management team in Fiorano Modenese, Italy. The company began as BASF’s dealer for coloring oxides, colors and additives used in the ceramic industry, as well as related materials for glass and other applications in Italy. Over time, COLORITALIA expanded its reach into additional major markets, broadening its footprint beyond its original location. In 2000, the company diversified into the production of colors for decoration and third firing, introducing products such as Colorcer and Colorglaze. This expansion into color development and manufacturing marked a shift from pure distribution to integrated color solutions for the ceramic and glass sectors.
In 2010, COLORITALIA joined an international group led by WANXING, a global leader in the production of dyes encapsulated in Cd-Se. The acquisition enabled the group to operate across Europe with sales offices in multiple countries, including Italy, Spain, and Turkey, while manufacturing in Foshan, China. The combined capabilities of engineering, production, and quality control, supported by an internal research laboratory, underscore COLORITALIA's commitment to developing new products and processes. The chemists at COLORITALIA are actively involved in quality control of incoming raw materials and finished products, ensuring consistency and reliability in their offerings for the ceramic and related industries.
