The Bologna Freight Village is built and run by the joint-stock company “Interporto Bologna S.p.A.”, established in 1971.

The registered stock is 13.743.928 euro - 26,6.11 million Italian Lire, 52% of which is owned by public bodies.

The Bologna Freight Village consists of an integrated system of logistics, rail and road infrastructures designed for the transport of freight and directly connected to the national railway line and motorway system.

Bologna Interporto is the dedicated motorway entrance/exit on the A13 between Bologna and Padua.

The Bologna Freight Village covers an area of 2,000,000 sqm, 650,000 sqm of which house the Italian Railways facilities. (TRENITALIA S.P.A.)

A further expansion area of 2,270,000 sqm is on schedule.

The freight village accommodates more than 81 national and international transport companies, the Customs offices, the public warehouses, a filling station with vehicle cleaning facilities, banks, a post office and refreshment areas.

236.000 sqm buildings (offices and warehouses provided with raised docking bay or plain) have already been completed and sold.
