Star Rays Education Centre
Star Rays Education Centre is a registered non-profit organization established in 2002 in Kenya, with a mission to improve living standards through education and community development. Located between Eldoret and Kitale in Lugari District, the center has grown from a single kindergarten room into a broader educational facility that serves children, adults, and local organizations. The center operates under a clear vision to enhance living standards through accessible education and community services, and it pursues this by delivering educational programs and health and development support to help the community reach self-reliance.
The organization’s mission emphasizes facilitating education, health, and development initiatives, with a focus on empowering community members to become self-sustaining. Its motto, “Education is a lifetime gift,” reflects the long-term value placed on learning as a foundational tool for empowerment.
Star Rays Education Centre offers several educational and community-oriented programs, including: Early Childhood Education (ECD) and Primary School Education, which follow the government-supported 8-4-4 national curriculum divided into three semesters per year (January–March, May–July, September–November). In addition to formal schooling, the center runs farmer training workshops and programs that support handicapped and orphaned children, alongside broader community awareness initiatives. The center also implements a feeding program to promote student health and concentration, alongside opportunities for participation in extracurricular activities to foster well-rounded development.
By combining structured schooling with practical community outreach, Star Rays Education Centre aims to contribute to sustainable development in its locality and beyond.
