Schryver Freight SRL, founded in 1998 in Asti, Italy, has built a long-standing track record in serving the Mexican and South American markets and has pursued growth through strategic expansion toward Asia to develop a broader international network.
From its inception, the company invested in an advanced operational and IT system, aligning with larger logistics groups to sustain a consistent service level even as the business expanded. Over the years, Schryver Freight has adapted to evolving market trends and customer needs by offering tailored solutions that support new sales and production programs.
In 2005, Schryver Freight formed a joint venture with BDP International, a recognized player in the chemical sector with a robust technology base and a worldwide client network. This collaboration enabled Schryver Freight to leverage BDP’s global capabilities, including a customer-facing network and integrated IT resources, while continuing to serve its Italian client base.
Following the joint venture, the company rebranded to BDP Italy Srl, positioning itself within a global network designed to improve competitiveness and service scope for Italian customers. Historically, the leadership, including Antonio Sgarbi, has guided Schryver Freight through a transition from European trucking to export customs clearances and NVOCC operations, working with shipping line partners. The leadership team has actively engaged in international trade, frequently traveling to major markets in the Far East, South America, and the United States to strengthen expertise and client relationships.
As the business evolved, Schryver Freight grew from a 5-person operation with a modest turnover to a larger enterprise, expanding to multiple offices within Italy and achieving significant growth in staff and turnover, reflecting its ongoing commitment to expanding its geographic reach and service capabilities.
