Egyptian-Italian Co-Operation (ISSEMM Project)

The ISSEMM Project is a multi disciplined program, financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Directorate General for Cooperation of Development. The Project is one of the activities of the Egyptian – Italian Environmental – Cooperation Program (EIECP) Phase II.

The aim of the project is to give technical and scientific support for the monitoring and management of Egyptian archaeological sites, with the direction provided by the Supreme Council of Antiquities and by the University of Pisa.

The site of Medinet Madi has been proposed for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
