Sinoma Jinjing Fiberglass Co., Ltd. is a Chinese joint venture established in 2004 through the collaboration between Sinoma Fiberglass and Xu Ri New Materials Co., Ltd. The company was formed with an initial registered capital of RMB 200 million and began its operations as part of the broader Sinoma Group network. The establishment followed a cooperation agreement between China National Non-Metallic Minerals Industry Corporation (now Sinoma Group) and Zibo National New & Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, formalizing the site’s development.
In 2004, Sinoma Jinjing embarked on significant capacity expansion projects. A dedicated alkali-free glass fiber wiredrawing production line (the #2 kiln) with an annual output target of 36,000 tons was configured at the Eastern Factory and began construction. By mid-2005, this project had been completed and put into operation, contributing to a higher total annual output of 52,000 tons. Concurrently, the company advanced the construction of a fiberglass tissue production line within a new Industrial Park spanning 320 acres, designed to achieve an annual output of 70 million square meters and was also brought into operation in September 2005.
The company pursued strategic partnerships to enhance its market position. On October 28, 2005, Sinoma Jinjing signed a joint venture agreement with PPG Industries, Inc. (NYSE: PPG). This agreement specifically covered operations and related assets of Sinoma Jinjing’s Eastern Factory, signaling a channel for collaboration and potential technology and market access. The sequence of investments, plant expansions, and joint ventures reflects the company’s trajectory toward scaled fiberglass production and integration within the industrial fiber sector.
As the entity progressed through the mid-2000s, Sinoma Jinjing established itself as a key player within the fiberglass manufacturing landscape in China, driven by both in-house capacity development and external partnerships.
