Qingdao Lingshan Steel Structure Co., Ltd is a Chinese enterprise with roots dating back to a government-owned shipbuilding facility established in 1979. The predecessor facility operated under the name Lingshan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd and was located in the Qingdao area, playing a key role in shipbuilding and steel structure production. In 2000, the Jiannan government transitioned Lingshan Shipbuilding into a private enterprise, and the company reformed as Lingshan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. This transformation marked the establishment of the current private company under its new name. Since becoming independent, the company has continued its core activities in steel structure construction and shipbuilding, maintaining affiliations with industry organizations such as the China Steel Construction Society (joined in 2003) and the Shandong Steel Construction Inspection and Design Society (became a director in 2005).
The organization has expanded its manufacturing capacity over the years, achieving an output increase in 2006 to roughly 3,000 tons per month. It has also obtained relevant certifications, including classification society recognition in 2009 and a production license for pressure vessels in 2012, underscoring compliance with industry standards. To support its broader operations, a subsidiary, Tianjun Steel Structure Engineering Co., Ltd, was established to address import and export activities, illustrating a diversified approach to project execution and logistics. A notable milestone occurred in 2014 when the China Harbor Engineering Company established a joint investment at the Lingshan facility and completed a Saudi Arabia project in the same year, highlighting international collaboration and project experience.
