Changzhou Joyous Chemical Co., Ltd is a China-based company established in 2005 with a focus on pharmaceutical intermediates and special chemicals. Since its inception as a contract-manufacturing partner for overseas pharmaceutical customers, the company has pursued growth through investment and expanded capabilities in research and development, manufacturing, and QA. In 2011, Joyous Chemical underwent venture capital funding, which facilitated the expansion of its R&D center and the establishment of joint venture manufacturing sites.
The company provides contract manufacturing services that support customer projects from pre-clinical stages through to product launch. A dedicated project management team is employed to coordinate development efforts and manufacturing activities. In addition, Joyous Chemical offers supply chain management for key intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), as well as sourcing specialist services to support customer research and development studies.
Facilities include an R&D center of approximately 2,000 square meters staffed by around 30 R&D professionals, and three manufacturing sites with a total area of about 250,000 square meters. The API plant is reported to be approved by USFDA, EDQM, and PMDA, featuring two cGMP API workshops and two cGMP intermediate workshops. A key intermediates plant operates under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 and includes multiple cGMP-like workshops, while a fine chemical plant holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certifications. The company also notes a government license for using various special reagents and catalysts.
