ZIEGLER GROUP is a historic logistics and transport company established in 1908 in Brussels. Over more than a century, the group expanded its capabilities and footprint across Europe, developing a diversified portfolio that includes international freight and distribution services. By 1919, ZIEGLER had earned a reputation as a market leader for importing wine and alcohol from France, highlighting the company’s early specialization in complex, value‑added logistics for sensitive goods.

In 2000, the Belgian arm opened a dedicated warehouse in Aalst, marking a strategic move to strengthen regional distribution and warehousing capabilities. The following years saw further expansion of ZIEGLER’s continental network: in 2001 the group augmented its national distribution strength in France through the acquisition of Trans Service, Chatel, and STTM, entities known for wine logistics.

The expansion continued in 2002 with the launch of ZIEGLER LOGISTICS Ltd in Ireland, built on the acquisition of Intel Ltd’s Kilkenny operation, followed by an international growth phase that year and into 2003. The ZIEGLER FRANCE division extended its reach with the establishment of ZIEGLER AEROSPACE, a specialized unit dedicated to aeronautical logistics. During this period, the group also developed new branches across Germany focused on ocean and airfreight activities in cities such as Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Bremen, Munich, and Stuttgart.

Throughout its history, ZIEGLER GROUP has positioned itself as a flexible, regionally integrated logistics partner, combining warehousing with both ocean and airfreight services to support complex supply chains across Europe. The company’s experience in wine logistics and aerospace-related logistics underscores its competency in handling sensitive goods and high-value shipments, complemented by a robust distribution network that spans multiple key European markets.
